Position Summary
The role is to provide financial support and assistance for all SIRVA Relocation operations in Australia and New Zealand. To assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the systems used in relocation operations (i.e. SMARTS, Search Engine), ensuring the relevant internal controls are maintained to make sure the business has accurate, reliable & timely accounting information.
To provide financial and administrative support to Corporate Finance, ensuring compliance with agreed procedures and provision of accurate financial reporting on a timely basis.
Functions and Responsibilities
Percentage Function
Operational
▪ Maintain the SMARTS financial system including archiving month end and year end close procedures. Ensure month end reports are emailed successfully for each day of the month end.
▪ Ensure all relocation related reconciliations are prepared on monthly/quarterly basis including maintenance of Policy IQ to ensure review and visibility of all reconciliations.
▪ Assist with issuing manual invoices and manual credit notes.
▪ Co-ordinate and ensure input of all data from SMART system is entered into SUN system.
▪ Oversee controls and risks in relocation part of the business.
▪ Other duties as directed by your manager.
Reporting ▪ Assist with management reporting and analysis of results where required.
Administration ▪ Where required perform clerical activities for relocation related operations.
Preferred Skills & Experience
▪ + 3 years Accounting experience
▪ Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
▪ Effective organizational & time management skills
▪ Moderate computer literate skills including use of Outlook and Microsoft programs
Required certifications – Chartered Accountant / CPA
Titles of Peer Roles within the Organization: Operations Manager, State Commercial Managers, Financial Planning & Analyst Manager, Financial & Systems Accountant, other Financial team members.

DELEGATED AUTHORITY
Full authority to alter Relocation procedures and systems in consultation with the Controller.
Full authority expend Company funds in accordance with Company Policy contained in the Company Policy Manual, Section 2, Finance No. 2.4 - "Transaction and Signature Authority".
