The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, hands-on role perfect for an experienced financial leader ready to step into a PE-backed environment focused on rapid international growth and M&A integration. You will be the central operational accounting leader, tasked with transforming and modernizing the global financial close, consolidation, and compliance processes for a company operating 12 entities across 6 key countries (US, China, Japan/Korea, Europe).

Key Responsibilities

• Consolidation Leadership: Directly manage the financial consolidation process for 12 international entities, focusing on simplification to reduce the current close timeline of three days.
• Month-End Close Streamlining: Take ownership of the global month-end close process, identifying bottlenecks, reducing complexity, and implementing best-practice standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Foreign Entity Alignment: Serve as a positive and collaborative liaison to global accounting teams (China, Japan, Europe, etc.), driving alignment on month-end close schedules, U.S. GAAP standards, and overall financial reporting consistency.
• Partner with the legacy VP Finance (now focused on ERP integration) to ensure seamless transition and effective utilization of systems, including Infor and Salesforce.
• Finalize the Global Chart of Accounts alignment.
• Elevate the quality of financial reporting by providing deep analytical insights, including variance analysis and in-depth commentary on material month-over-month fluctuations.
• Accounting (ASC 805): Lead the technical accounting work related to the large upcoming $70M+ UK acquisition, ensuring proper accounting for business combinations.
• Inventory & Fixed Asset Policy: Collaborate on or independently write/update simplified, one-page accounting policies (leveraging AI if applicable) for inventory and fixed assets at acquired entities.
