Your Role

As a Core Network (HSS/HLR) Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering robust and scalable telecom core network solutions. You will contribute across the full lifecycle—from design and integration to testing and final deployment—ensuring high performance and reliability in 4G/5G environments. This role requires deep technical expertise and close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers.

In this role, you will:

Design and implement core network solutions, with a strong focus on HSS/HLR nodes
Lead and execute system integration, deployment, and validation activities
Perform end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during project delivery
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation:
- Low-Level Design (LLD)
- Customer Integration Questionnaire (CIQ)
- Design Node Document (DND)
- Acceptance Test Plan (ATP)
- Method of Procedure (MOP)
Coordinate and manage testing, acceptance, and sign-off activities with stakeholders
Work on complex multi-domain integrations involving telecom network components
Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
Collaborate closely with customers, project teams, and internal engineering units

Your Profile

Strong experience in telecom core networks, specifically HSS/HLR (mandatory)
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments
Solid understanding of networking protocols TCP/IP, Diameter, SIP, HTTP/2, SNMP, SOAP/XML
Experience with databases such as Aerospike, MariaDB, Oracle, or SQL
Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies VNF, CNF
Familiarity with platforms like VMware and OpenStack
Exposure to Nokia tools/platforms: CBIS, CBAM, NCS, NCOM
Proven experience in system integration and multi-domain telecom environments
Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Good communication skills with professional proficiency in English

Preferred:

Experience with Cloud Native Core and cloud-native databases
Understanding of automation tools for configuration and deployment
Exposure to Kubernetes-based environments
