Angott Search Group is partnering with a nearly $3B bank in Texas in the search for a Core Banking Operations Manager, Card & Commercial Services.

This role leads daily operations across Card and Commercial Services, with responsibility for people leadership, operational performance, process improvement, change management, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Lead card services operations, including debit, credit, gift cards, digital wallets, instant issuance, card alerts, and related payment services.
• Oversee commercial services operations, including positive pay, remote deposit, lockbox, wire and ACH origination, merchant services, bill pay, and account analysis.
• Provide leadership, coaching, development, performance management, and support for the department team.
• Ensure daily operational stability, service levels, quality, and timely resolution of issues.
• Lead process improvements, workflow enhancements, procedure updates, and technology initiatives.
• Coordinate department projects and change management, including implementation, training, communication, and adoption.
• Develop and communicate performance metrics, project status, risks, business impacts, and recommended actions.
• Serve as the department lead for audits and regulatory exams, including FDICIA requirements and remediation.
• Partner with internal teams as a subject matter expert on operational processes, systems, and service enhancements.
• Monitor regulatory developments, payment trends, fraud risks, emerging technology, and industry changes.
• Manage department resources and expenses in alignment with budgets and strategic priorities.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant experience with a related degree, or 7+ years of banking operations or related experience.
• 6+ years of leadership and people management experience.
• Experience with both commercial services and card payment operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• AAP, CCPP, ACH, or card-related certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience leading change, process improvement, and operational initiatives.
• Proficiency with payment processing systems and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
