Job Description

Position: Copywriter

Number of hours: 10 hours/week

Schedule: PST

Tasks required:

• Create and edit original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets client/company needs and deadlines

• Meet with client to understand their message, brand voice and target audience

• Conduct research to formulate ideas or support writing

• Propose copy concepts in a comprehensible and engaging way

• Produce copies for marketing materials, social media posts, and paid advertisements

• Drive brand consistency across all company communications

• Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere

• See projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to deployment

• Assist in other aspects of the creative or research processes to create cohesive, accurate content

• Work with clients to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations

• Other ad hoc tasks to be assigned

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Copywriter or relevant experience

• Bachelors degree in English, communications, or a related field is highly preferred

• Proven success in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns with a portfolio of work over a wide range of projects

• Exceptional skill in social media writing, including use of hashtags and relevant acronyms

• Broad knowledge of suitable copies for different scenarios and across different niches/industries

• Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels

• Strong communication, research, and typing skills

• Creativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, and motivation

• Ability to understand the needs associated with a project and the target audience

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Documents

• Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing

• Creativity, adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

• Willingness to meet deadlines

• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn rapidly
