The Copies Plus Associate will operate and perform routine maintenance on high speed photocopiers (processing 120 copies per minute).
Operates high speed (120 Copies per minute) photocopier and other related job tasks.Fills copy requests and retrieves electronically generated job requests from the Digital Storefront online ordering system.Prepares materials for copying, determines quantity and stock specifications and checks printer output for quality and accuracy. Cleans, adjusts, and performs routine maintenance high speed copiers.Replaces consumables such as stitcher wire, toner, and paper, and monitors stock inventories.
Provides assistance for Library Pay-for-Print program and Central Photocopy machines.Places service calls on equipment and handles departmental inquiries regarding machine condition and operation.
Provides service to retail customers.Takes charge of the area in the absence of the supervisor.Helps address questions and issues encountered by student employees.
Assists in preparation and monitoring of daily cash deposits.
Maintains production records for printers and records electronic and cash transactions.
Participates in the moving of materials, stocking paper shelves, and delivering completed prints jobs.
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years of experience in the operation of a high speed copier.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
General knowledge of and skill in the operation and maintenance of multifunctional high-speed copiers and related equipment. General knowledge of paper weights and reactions to duplicating processes; of the layout of materials for duplicating and publication. Elementary knowledge of office practices and procedures. Skill in setting up and operating high speed copiers to meet complex job specifications. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to lift, transport and stock copier supplies, paper, and related equipment; to maintain effective working relationships with others; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions; to perceive the normal color spectrum; to wear and work in personal protective equipment. Ability to assist in a small retail environment and the handling of cash and checks. Ability to review and prepare orders through electronic storefront.
Preferences (including additional education, work experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Some knowledge of Print Production and Graphic Arts software. Ability to create spreadsheets tracking orders and print totals.
