About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Training and Development, the Training Coordinator, Maintenance is responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of training for the Line Creek Maintenance Department.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and supervisory skills, along with demonstrated organizational abilities and a proven capacity to prioritize workloads effectively. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable to changing environments, and brings a high level of energy and initiative to their work.

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Provide and source training which includes job based, supervisory, and developmental instruction using materials that have been created both internally and externally
Deliver comprehensive training based on safe work procedures and site training requirements
Be the primary resource and provide support and guidance for the apprenticeship programs at the mine site
Act as the main contact for the ITA, colleges, and apprentices for schooling and scheduling requirements
Provide continuous training support and guidance to the Supervisors on their respective shifts and interact directly with the Maintenance Department
Work with maintenance leadership team to continually determine training needs and priorities, assess training programs, and work with staff to develop training courses, plans, and solutions
Prepare and develop plans for projects and programs involving coordination with other departments
Minimum 5 years' experience in open pit mining, maintenance, or training environments is required
Ability to clearly and concisely instruct all levels of adult learners
Efficient computer skills, including familiarity with company Training History Program, Microsoft Office Suite®: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint would be an asset
Ability to multitask and keep accurate records of all training events
Ability to work well in a team environment and have the ability to influence/lead change
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
