Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Services Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in the title closing process related to new and/or existing timeshare sales or the recovery of inventory for acquisition. The coordinator will prepare and process various title documents related to real property conveyances; title search using various systems and public records to determine and/or confirm ownership of the underlying real estate; performing curative actions to clear title defects.

As the Title Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Verify Accuracy of contract documents, including finance and title documents. Ensure document files are in compliance with underwriting guidelines and title requirements.
  • Audit documents for compliance to standards for recording of documents in public records. File and maintain organized and systematic support documentation and filing for title related functions. Effectively track flow of all title documents, including mortgages, deeds, satisfaction and reconveyances.
  • Ensure financial documents are complete and accurately filed and ready for funding.
  • Coordinate corrections, adjustments and modifications to contract documentation as necessary.
  • Communicate with Title Companies as needed to record documents. Conduct title searches via the internet and title software.
  • Records or submits to external title company to record all contracts in a timely manner.
  • Assist internal and external customers as needed to process contracts.
  • Escrow related functions as needed in order to comply with regulatory requirements and as needed by Lead, Supervisor, Manager or other internal customer.
  • Track all problem recordings and attempt to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the training of team members when needed.
  • Act as back-up for other departmental functions.
  • Provide high production totals while maintaining a low error percent margin.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 - 3+ years of related experience in banking, real estate, titling, and/or finance
  • Effective organizational skills alongside the skill to prioritize and navigate multiple software platforms
  • Ability to produce high volume work product that has a high degree of accuracy
  • Must have strong communication skills to convey problems with contracts and required resolution with field sales offices.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel with creating and maintaining spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree/College Diploma
  • 3-5+ years of related experience in banking, real estate, titling, and/or finance
  • Title Agent license or certification
  • Advanced MS Excel experience with creating and maintaining spreadsheets
