Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Risk & Safety programs at Harrah’s Resort Southern California through a variety of administrative tasks while fostering a strong safety culture. Provides assistance with safety-related activities, including inspections, training sessions, special events, and the development of safety publications.

  • Must proactively promote safe work practices and corrective actions.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and team members.
  • Initiate post incident follow up to guests and team members.
  • Assist in maintaining files for Workers’ Compensation and General Liability case management.
  • Able to complete OSHA and company records in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to collect, interpret and present risk and safety related data.
  • Communicate clearly both orally and through written analysis, charts and graphs.
  • Maintain and run reporting for internal and external databases using various computer and mobile programs.
  • Assists with new hire, department and property-wide safety trainings.
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and safety observations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to departmental and company policies.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver around office area and throughout the hotel/casino property.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when assisting team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, lift, stoop, reach and work at a desk when performing administrative functions.
  • Responds to visual and oral cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, calculator, photocopy machine, scanner and other equipment as deemed necessary.
  • When on casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, dust, and bright lights.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
