Job Description

As the Coordinator - Proposals, you will interact with existing customers, to maintain day to day sales of the Company's products and/or services. You will quote, obtain, and generate orders, creating customer satisfaction and adding value to the customer's buying experience. You will be responsible for managing large sales datasets specific to Sourcing, Catalog, Supplier, Inventory and Project Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtains orders through email and telephone calls, verifies and enters items, transfers orders to fulfillment, explains stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Reviews open customer order reports and takes action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer’s promised delivery date.
  • Maintains distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
  • Compile and analyze data on historical sales and trends to forecast future demands.
  • Gather, publish, and maintain information related to historical, current, and future pricing.
  • Assist in developing sophisticated solutions, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tools to achieve and support the business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Associates’ degree required; Bachelors’ Degree preferred
  • Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills, however fully competent and productive professional contributor (2-4 years)
  • Knowledge of B2B Supply Chain, including Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO), Electrical, Inventory, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Pricing, etc.
  • Strong analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify and define potential problems and propose possible solutions

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
