The Opportunity (Vacancy: Replacement)
Reporting directly to the Manager, Programming and Outreach, the Coordinator is tasked with the ongoing development, scheduling and facilitation of a wide range of library programs that support and reflect the needs of a growing and diverse population. This position will also support outreach initiatives and community engagement across Caledon.
This position builds relationships with community members and integrates library services, resources, programs, and initiatives to make a positive impact while advancing the Library’s strategic priorities

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a passionate professional with a post-graduate degree in Library and Information Studies/Science, or related field. Our ideal candidate has minimum of one (1) year library experience, preferably in a public library, a minimum of 1 (one) year programming experience working with all age groups as well as 2 (two) years in a customer-focused setting.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated facilitation skills, and the ability to effectively engage audiences of all ages and appreciation of and commitment to excellence in public library service. We are seeking an individual with computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), SharePoint and Symphony Integrated Library Software (ILS).
This position offers a salary range of $78,683.40 to $98,354.25 and a competitive benefits package.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
