Gray Construction is seeking a Prequalification Coordinator to join our Lexington, KY team.

Qualifications

Who we want… (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or university; minimum two to four years of construction and related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of computer literacy, including experience with Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry technology. Background in any combination of banking, accounting, finance, insurance, and safety analysis is desirable.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

  • Support development of Operations’ subcontractor prequalification process, including establishing team member training programs and providing team member training.
  • Monitor updates to the TradeTapp platform and communicate needed changes to the Project Services team for implementation where necessary.
  • Monitor subcontractor qualification questionnaire submissions, coordinate the review process with Gray reviewers, and provide support to the manager as needed.
  • Monitor and update subcontractor grading in TradeTapp.
  • Coordinate the subcontractor qualification renewal process.
  • Coordinate the Request for Correction process associated with the review of submitted questionnaires.
  • Coordinate development of qualification mitigation plans to promote consistency in plan requirements.
  • Review subcontractor records and supporting documentation to identify missing, incomplete, expired, or inconsistent information.
  • Maintain clear review comments, qualification notes, status updates, and supporting documentation within subcontractor profiles.
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors, Gray project teams, reviewers, and internal stakeholders regarding prequalification requirements, status, corrections, and next steps.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, improve turnaround time, and promote consistent application of company standards.

    Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.
