Reports to : Manager – Precinct
Role Introduction
Reporting to the Manager – Precinct, the Coordinator – Precinct plays a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation and operational delivery of all public open spaces. Responsibilities include developing detailed plans and event orders for works, events and activities in all public open spaces and working closely with other departments to bring a vibrancy to the Kai Tak Sports Park precinct.
Key Responsibilities
- To plan, organise, and support events taking place within the public open spaces at Kai Tak Sports Park.
- Develop detailed temporary overlay plans and event orders for works, events and activities taking place within public open spaces and issue related documentation to all stakeholders and parties.
- In collaboration with other KTSPL departments, plan and prepare precinct activations that support the events that are taking place within the Kai Tak Stadium, Indoors Sports Centre and Youth Sports Ground.
- In coordination with the branding team, plan, prepare and implement all public open spaces event signage at Kai Tak Sports Park.
- To implement all policies, procedures, hiring agreements to ensure effective management of public open spaces.
- To implement venue rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and develop standard operating procedures and monitor their compliance.
- To implement daily checks of Playfield 5.
- To meet with potential clients and advise them on the venue and event requirements.
- Perform other duties or special projects as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, additional education or certification in events management or related field.
- Applicants with at least 1 year of working experience working in venue management, event management or sports and leisure industry.
- A collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills, good logical thinker, and experience working with multiple organisations.
- Well-organised, meticulous, able to work to strict deadlines.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate event hours, including shift work, overnight work, weekends and public holiday.
- Good in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience working with Ungerboeck (EMS) and Auto Cad.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with community user groups, customers and tenants.
- A technical understanding of temporary overlay (e.g. power, utilities, audio visual).
- First Aid certification
