<strong>Classification</strong>: Full-Time<br><strong>FLSA</strong>: Exempt </div><div><br></div><div><strong><br>JOB SUMMARY</strong></div><div>
<br>This position is responsible for the overall operation of a centralized day program that provides out-of-living-unit day programming to all of Evergreen's existing and future community-based residential programs in its service area. </div><div>
<strong><br>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Supervising the facility in an orderly, effective, and economic manner in compliance with Board, local, state, and federal directives, Louisiana requirements for Day Developmental Training Centers, and sound ethical and fiscal principles. </li>
<li>Providing individualized, out-of-living-unit programming to clients from Evergreen's small residential facilities within an active treatment environment, including a vocational training component that offers opportunities for significant wage-earning activities. </li>
<li>Providing in-center work/training stations where clients can work on various types of external, 1-year contracted jobs. </li>
<li>Providing out-of-center work/training stations where clients can work on contracted jobs in an outdoor environment, weather permitting. </li>
<li>Assisting clients with community/supportive work in out-of-center environments and providing on-site training assistance for clients engaged in the competitive job market. </li>
<li>Ensuring that goals and objectives are accomplished efficiently within established performance standards and budgetary allocations. Establishing and implementing procedures that ensure the best interests of the clients, staff, and facility are served at all times. </li>
<li>Supervising and evaluating the day program staff. </li>
<li>Representing the facility to parents and agencies with whom contractual agreements exist. </li>
<li>Managing the orderly and effective production of various products as described by the Affirmative Enterprise programming method. Preparing budget information for the Vice Presidents of Finance and Personnel. </li>
<li>Reviewing oral and written reports on events and issuing verbal or written instructions and policies on matters requiring a decision.</li>
<li>Inspecting the facility for compliance with health, safety, and appearance requirements. </li>
<li>Reviewing all case histories of referrals to the facility and documenting personal observations for the admissions review panel. </li>
<li>Reviewing and acting on all daily correspondence while supervising and assisting staff in the performance of their duties. </li>
<li>Interviews prospective clients and staff, and counsels them on current problems and program execution. </li>
<li>Preparing the annual budget, reviewing monthly financial statements, maintaining all records, funds, and statistics, and meeting with licensing and other authorized inspection groups. </li>
<li>Authorizing the purchase of specified supplies and equipment within established guidelines. </li>
<li>Promoting favorable public relations and developing positive working relationships with relatives, contributors, and volunteers.</li>

<br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/JOB KNOWLEDGE<br></strong><br>

<li>High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a directly related field is preferred. </li>
<li>A combination of education and experience will be considered. </li>
<li>A clear understanding of administrative procedures, personnel management, and financial operations to ensure a fiscally sound facility. </li>
<li>Prior work in a non-profit atmosphere and experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are preferred. </li>

<li>Constantly moves about to coordinate work. </li>
<li>Regularly works in a fast-paced environment with multiple task deadlines. </li>

<li>Must know how to determine clients' needs and be able to develop programs that will meet these needs in accordance with all governmental criteria. </li>
<li>Must have the ability and desire to function as part of a team, yet work with a high degree of independence. </li>

<li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Google Workspace.</li>
<li>Aptitude to learn other software programs as required for this position.</li>

<li>Must have a good driving record that meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation.</li>
