
North Allegheny School District, a large suburban district in the Pittsburgh region with over 8,500 students and 1,200 employees, has a vacancy for a Coordinator of Special Education and Gifted Education. The Coordinator carries out the implementation and administration of the school district's student services programs in the areas of special education and gifted education.
Required: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Special Education, Psychology, Education, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field
Preferred: Master's Degree or Higher in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, School Psychology, or Educational Administration
Required: Demonstrated experience in building/department leadership roles (e.g., Special Education Department Chair, IEP/504 Facilitator, Secondary Transition Coordinator, or Educational Administrator)
Required: High School (grades 9�12) teaching or administrative experience with direct involvement in secondary scheduling, graduation pathways, and transition planning
Required: Minimum of 5 years of successful experience working within Special Education, Gifted Education, or Student Support Services
Current PA Supervisory Certificate in Special Education or Supervisor of Pupil Service
Current PA Principal Certificate (K�12 or 7�12)
Current PA Instructional II Certification in Special Education (PK�12 or 7�12)
Current PA Educational Specialist Certification (e.g., School Psychologist)
