Job Description

St Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Community is a vibrant and growing parish that strives to radiate Christ in all that we do. As a highly dedicated staff we are seeking to add talent that will enhance our capabilities and enrich our Faith Formation and Evangelization programs. The position of Administrative Coordinator for Faith Formation and Evangelization is an important role because it requires high-level organizational skills, flexibility and effective engagement with parents as well as children. Essential Functions

Faith Formation

  • Serves as Registrar for all Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparations programs. Responsible for sacramental entries in Parish Archival Record Books and input into Ministry Platform data base and reporting to the Church of Baptism all sacraments made at St. Ignatius.
  • Procures curriculum for Faith Formation year and supplies as needed throughout the liturgical year including teaching materials (Gospel Weeklies, Family Life, Confirmation and Reconciliation/First Eucharist).
  • Prepares informational packets to include orientation, sacramental preparation for both Faith Formation families and catechists.
  • This role will be a visible administrator assisting at all faith formation classes.
  • Responsible for communications to parents and catechists as needed, through mailings, emails, social media and website updates.
  • Weekly separation and distribution of Faith Formation materials to Catechists.
  • Create flyers, copying and helping in production of materials as needed.
  • Inputs all Faith Formation and Sacramental events into the parish calendar and scheduling tools, e.g. E-Space.
  • Serves as a vital member of the Evangelization Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Associated Responsibilities

  • Serves as a joyful point person when engaging the community either through phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication.
  • Works with vendors & contractors as needed.
  • Assists and at times leads special events for Faith Formation and Liturgical Evangelization.
  • Helps with special liturgies, events or circumstances that need clerical support and/or staff presence – parent meetings, sacramental celebrations, children’s liturgy for Christmas and Vacation Bible School (VBS).
  • Serves as Registrar and works as vital part of the VBS team.
  • Other miscellaneous office assistance which may arise during work hours.
  • Helps to keep work areas organized while maintaining a safe business environment.
  • Orders and maintains supplies and cleaning of Xerox and folding machine.
  • Coordination and entry of forms for Catechists on classroom platform

Position Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic with experience working in a school or parish setting that desires to grow ever closer to our Lord and His Church through daily mass attendance and learning opportunities.
  • Virtus training will be required for this position.
  • Well developed organizational skills and able to successfully juggle multiple tasks at a time.
  • The successful candidate will be energetic, creative and flexible.
  • Friendly and welcoming with good written and oral communication skills as well as excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Canva, and Ministry Platform.
  • Ability to work in a team or independent setting that can be fast-paced and highly exciting at times.
  • The ability to sign American Sign Language and/or speak Spanish would be a blessing to our Church community.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs.

Pay Range: $38,000 - $41,000, Annualized
