Administrative Faculty Contract. Non Tenure Track, Benefits Eligible - This position is grant funded through 6/30/2027. Employment is contingent upon continued funding. The position is being filled through an emergency appointment. Appointment to the role on a permanent basis is contingent upon meeting additional recruitment requirements. This role is based on the Carson City campus with occasional travel to the Fallon campus.
Under the direction and supervision of the Operations & Clinical Coordinator, the Nursing Pathways Program Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, coordinating, and continuously improving operational systems, processes, and activities that support Allied Health programs that provide a stackable entry to Nursing.
This position serves as a centralized coordination point for such programs and is responsible for facilitating communication, timelines, documentation, operational alignment, compliance processes, and program implementation activities among faculty, staff, students, clinical partners, and college departments.
The Nursing Pathways Program Coordinator manages complex operational and program development processes related to clinical education, curriculum implementation, workforce alignment, student progression, and regulatory compliance. The role exercises independent judgment in coordinating program operations, implementing systems and workflows, resolving operational issues, and supporting continuous improvement activities in alignment with division priorities.

This position is at a salary grade C. The minimum of the placement range is $73,531.55. The selected candidate will be placed at or above the minimum based on education and experience. WNC's placement range falls within the NSHE salary schedule: NSHE ADMINISTRATIVE SALARY SCHEDULE
All faculty and professional staff working at least half-time equivalent must participate in the NSHE Faculty Retirement Plan Alternative (RPA) as a condition of employment. The current contribution rate is 19.25%. Your contribution is matched by the College at 19.25%.

Faculty and staff who have previously participated in the Public Employees’ Retirement System of Nevada (PERS) may be required to continue participation in PERS.
The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) does not participate in the federal Social Security System but does contribute to the federal Medicare program. This means that while you are employed by NSHE neither you nor NSHE contribute to Social Security and you do not earn a Social Security benefit.
WNC is proud to provide a reduced-rate tuition benefit to faculty and their qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Notwithstanding any provision of the NSHE Code to the contrary, this contract is a temporary contract only and the employee is not entitled to or guaranteed additional employment contracts in the future. Pursuant to the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents Handbook, Title 4, Chapter 3, Section 41, 2., c., temporary full-time faculty are not entitled to the notice of nonreappointment and notice of termination provisions in Title 2, Chapter 5, Section 5.9. In the best judgment of the appointing authority this temporary employment appointment may be terminated with 30 days' notice, which may include accrued annual leave pursuant to Title 4, Chapter 3, Section 20, paragraph 3.
