The Coordinator will be an integral part of the Native Self-Determination team, working closely with the Administrator and Director, Native Self-Determination.
This role is time-limited for an initial period of 5 years with the possibility of extension.
**While this role supports a portfolio focused on Native self-determination, candidates are not expected to come with prior experience in this field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule and manage logistics for team meetings, including creating agendas and preparing documents, for the Native Self-Determination team
Coordinate with Meeting Planners for catering and virtual meeting planning assistance when needed
Arrange and coordinate appointments and travel for members of the team, including involvement in site visits and domestic/international travel, as needed
Process expense reports
Coordinate with Information Technology when equipment is needed
Interact with, provide guidance to, and respond to questions from grantees, consultants, and other external partners, including helping to manage the Native Self-Determination inquiry inbox
Provide general proofreading and editing
Coordinate document and information management tasks that add value for the Native Self-Determination team
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as back-up to the Administrator of the Native Self-Determination team
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of three to five years of relevant administrative experience
A bachelor’s degree is desirable
Comfortable working in a team environment
Excellent writing, editing, organizational, and verbal skills
Able to manage multiple tasks and projects
Able to think and work independently, using strong working knowledge of program substance and process
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
The position is hybrid and based in Chicago, Illinois.
Annual salary for this role will start at $67,600. We offer a generous total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and a comprehensive benefits package to support your life, health, and well-being.
