Key Accountabilities
· Plan, Create, Review and distribute approved Production Plan in SAP for Production Departments and work centers according to shipping schedules.
· Confer with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and completion dates.
· Compile reports on Progress of work, Inventory level and production problems.
· Close completed Production Orders in SAP after the completion of Job.
· Works with Shipping Clerk to make sure that all transaction and data entered in SAP are correct.
· Plan and Schedule Sub Contractors for outside parts processing through EDI released on weekly basis.
· Manage inventory stock levels by applying advanced inventory control techniques; monitoring and update minimum and maximum stock levels
· Coordinate delivery schedules for Sub contractors with Shipping and escalate any open issues
· Track and measure delivery performance of Sub contractor on monthly basis and provide data to management and subcontractors for areas of improvements.
· Inventory management, maintain target inventory level for raw and finished good products, cycle counting and physical inventory
· Dispute any infractions to our Customer rating when applicable.
· Learn and Implement any Continuous Improvement activities which can be self-generated or initiate by Linamar Forgings Carolina.
· Perform monthly Physical inventory, when required by Materials Manager.
· Maintain a safe and well cleaned work environment.
Minimum Requirements
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Working knowledge of SAP is an asset
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Read forms, such as invoices, parts order forms, packing slips and bills of lading. Complete forms, such as weekly inventory sheets.
· MRP and Web-based Customer System (Ford DDL, GM SupplyPower, DCX S.M.A.R.T.) experience is an asset. Knowledge of QS9000, TS16949 and ISO14001. Use computer-operated machinery. For example, print delivery slips using computerized printers.
