Job Description

Guided by our core values, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has developed a central translation service team. The Language Services team supports culturally safe, quality care by improving patient/client access to health information and reducing language barriers. The team is responsible for translating health and clinical information and works in partnership with other language services teams including Virtual Health at VCH and the Provincial Language Services team at BC Health Shared Services.Reporting to the Program Leader, Language Services, the Coordinator provides centralized operational, coordination, and technical support for translation services across VCH. As part of team, the coordinator is responsible for coordination of translators and service providers, backend workflow execution, and systems management, while the Program Leader leads internal partner engagement, prioritization, and overall service oversight.

The Coordinator manages the operational components of translation requests, ensuring that clinical and public-facing materials are processed, coordinated, and delivered in a timely, accurate, and culturally appropriate manner. The role functions as the primary coordination hub for translation workflows, supporting consistent and efficient service delivery across a high-volume, time-sensitive portfolio.
