Job Description

  • Work Preparation
    • Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and production orders to prepare accurate work instructions.
    • Define required materials, tools, and equipment for production.
    • Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and routing sheets.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all work instructions.
  • Methods & Planning
    • Develop and optimize manufacturing methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Plan production sequences and workflows to maximize resource utilization.
    • Collaborate with engineering to implement new technologies and processes.
    • Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to support production planning.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
  • Collaboration
    • Act as a liaison between production, engineering, and quality departments.
    • Support training of production staff on new methods and processes.
    • Provide feedback to design teams regarding manufacturability and process improvements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in work preparation, production planning, or methods engineering.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
