Position: Coordinator for Bullying Prevention Program and Mental Health Programs- Extra Duty Position/ Part-Time
Employment Term: 2026-2027
Employment Days: Extra Duty Position
Certification Required: Valid WV Teacher, Counselor, or Administrative Certification
Preferred Certification: Counselor, OR School Psychology, OR Psychology (Teaching)
Required: Full-time professional employee within one of the Pleasants County Schools
Preferred: Knowledge of or training on the OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program; Experience in Bullying Prevention; Experience in working with Mental Health Programs.
Salary Range, Based on FY 24: Flat Stipend: $500
Weekly and Daily Schedule: As determined by mutual agreement between the successful applicant, the director of special programs, and the school psychologist.
Additional Requirement: A successful interview with all questions and tasks measured for satisfactory completion by the interview committee.
Bids Close: 3:30 PM.
This coordinator will have two areas to monitor: The Bullying Prevention Program and The Mental Health Programs.
The coordinator will be the county contact for the Bullying Prevention Program to keep all four schools connected and on the same page with implementation as well as use.
The coordinator may have meetings with appropriate staff from all four schools in regards to the bulling prevention program.
The coordinator can be a resource/ point of contact for implementation, information, and maintenance of the program.
The coordinator will monitor each school's utilization of the program and effectiveness and make suggestions to the building principals.
If the county needs to have a person trained on program updates, this person will be the individual who will be trained and then return to train or conduct professional development with the staff. (Additional pay will be given for days worked outside of the regular contract to attend trainings)
The coordinator will work with the county's expanded school-based mental health team to plan meetings, author agendas, and chair the meetings. The coordinator will report meeting information to the appropriate staff in the school system.
The coordinator will help and guide PCS to implement, monitor, assess the effectiveness of, and maintain the mental health programs to ensure they are being utilized at the appropriate level and report to the appropriate school staff if they are not.
The coordinator will be a point of contact for the school system for Mental Health partner agencies.
The coordinator may also choose to coordinate with outside mental health agencies to support students and staff.
The coordinator may suggest new programs to the staff in the school system.
