What We Want

The Coordinator, Athletics Venue and Operations, works under general supervision and collaborates closely with the Assistant Manager of Main Campus Operations. This position provides coordination and administrative support for the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance of Special Event Operations and Main Campus facilities, ensuring efficient and effective venue management and operational activities.

Venue Operations Management

  • Identifies maintenance issues throughout main campus athletic venues including Kyle Field, Bright-Slocum Building, Davis Player Development Center, Coolidge Football Performance Center, and Sinn Academic & Wellness Building to determine the need of maintenance or repairs. Coordinates staff with venue requests, including furniture/equipment moves and assembly, and performing light maintenance work. Helps in the preparation of required work orders, prioritize, track progress and communicate with coaches and staff concerning work. Completes regular inspections for cleanliness, orderliness, maintenance, safety and ease of passage. Monitors newspapers, periodicals, websites, and other media to identify events that may have an effect on facilities and other campus resources. Coordinates with maintenance regarding general supply inventory and equipment storage for assigned venue including organization. Coordinates the maintenance of storage operations. Coordinates site safety and security for assigned venue. Serves as after-hours contact for assigned venue.

Event/Game Day Venue Management

  • Oversees operations for all special events hosted at main campus athletic venues, including coordinating set up and breakdown of events and oversight of student assistant staff completing tasks. Assist with day-to-day operations at all main campus athletic venues and football game days at Kyle Field. Coordinates with access management for assigned venue. Maintains venue operations guides for assigned venue and makes recommendations for policy and procedure implementation. Coordinates with branding at assigned venue

General Administration

Compliance

  • Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised. Maintains awareness of and supports the initiatives of the Athletics Department.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two years of experience working in the live event industry and/or prior event operations related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of building management and venue operations.

  • Familiarity with and ability to use various power tools.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to clearly communicate project goals to all members of team.

  • Knowledge of NCAA and SEC Conference rules and regulations.

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to allocate work assignments and/or task responsibilities, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of self and others.

  • Analyzes problems and develops alternative solutions.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun.
