The Early Years Inclusion team at Autism Queensland, based across the QLD coast, are built on a strong group of Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Teachers providing support to early childhood education and care (“ECEC”) services. Increasing the confidence and capability of early education staff in evidence-based practices, workshops and training, coaching and consultancy, our consultants travel throughout QLD to various ECECs to deliver services.

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Coordinator – Early Years Inclusion to lead the development and delivery of impactful programs and services that support inclusive practices in early childhood settings.

Please note this role requires a tertiary degree in Teaching, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy (and membership/registration with the relevant professional body – AHPRA, SPA etc.) and leadership experience within Disability and/or Special Education sector(s). Full-time availability is preferred but Part-time availability will be considered.

• Lead and coordinate the development, scheduling, and delivery of inclusive supports, services, and programs.
• Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, managing performance, workflow, and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for service growth, including sponsorships and fee-for-service initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including corporates, professionals, and government agencies to promote inclusive practices.
• Promote services and share knowledge through stakeholder meetings, conferences, education forums, and internal communications.
• Oversee the development and review of resources, processes, and procedures to support effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting, ensuring alignment with funding body contracts and internal performance indicators.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance in collaboration with leadership.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology, or Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with AHPRA, SPA, or relevant professional body.
• Experience in the Disability and/or or autism specific services.
• Experience working in a leadership role.
• Commitment to inclusive, person-centred practice.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
