Coordinator Cyber Security Business Units and Regions

Our team is looking for a Coordinator Cyber Security Business Units & Regions as part of the GS IS Cyber security expert group.

In this role, you will be part of the Cyber security experts group supporting Business engagement with the different business units and regional leaders. Understanding their priorities and driving Information security solutions that can bring BU’s to better security maturity and SMF compliance.

You will be supporting and influencing the shaping our cybersecurity strategy. In this role, you’ll coordinate all solutioning initiatives across business units and regions that drive business growth and resilience. You’ll oversee the design and deployment of security solutions across diverse business units, driving integration and alignment with our strategic goals.

Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with the ISO officers, business unit leaders, IT, and engineering teams, embedding security into the very fabric of our operations. You’ll take charge of managing the security posture of our third-party vendors, ensuring that every partnership meets our rigorous standards.

Beyond the technical scope, the Business Engagement team will foster strong relationships with executive stakeholders and business leaders, ensuring our security team is acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. You’ll also lead talent development within the security team, nurturing future leaders and ensuring succession planning is in place.

Ultimately, your leadership will enhance both financial and operational performance, making security as enabling function, not just a safeguard—but a competitive advantage.

Your role:

  • Lead the global Cyber Security Business Engagement activities to support the Business Engagement team to strategic engagement with business units and regions to understand their needs and translate them into effective cybersecurity solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Act as Cyber expert to support business IS requirements. Understand their needs and translate them into effective cybersecurity solutions and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive adoption of existing IS standard solutions or support with implementation of specific Cyber solutions aligning with enterprise architecture
  • Work with close cooperation with the BE team to be close to the BU world and bring the added value of a security expert to the business.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and initiatives, ensuring timely execution, quality outcomes, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and trust, building strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams to promote security as a business enabler.
  • Be active member of high-performing teams, promoting continuous learning, ownership, and leadership across the cybersecurity organization.

  • Stay ahead of emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory trends, proactively adapting strategies and solutions to maintain resilience.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication, influence, and decision-making skills, especially in high-stakes or ambiguous environments.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of working experience.
  • 7+ years previous experience within information security domain.
  • 7+ years’ experience as a line manager, managing small teams, managing contracts, and developing and adhering to budgets.
  • MBA or other advanced degree highly desired.
  • Pro-active, self-starter that can develop and execute plans and objectives.
  • Ability to resolve unique problems by collecting and interpreting information from multiple sources as needed to come to insightful solutions.
  • Collaborative attitude and ability to work in multi-disciplinary team across multiple time zones.
  • Comfortable working with and managing virtual teams.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards.
  • Technical Certifications in Information Security (e.g. CISM, CISSP, etc.) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience working within a large multinational company deploying information security capabilities.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) and understanding of how Information Security needs to comply with those requirements.
  • Knowledge of the legal, industrial, and cultural security requirements for a large multinational industrial company.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and NIST2 framework.
  • AI affinity and innovation mindset – Demonstrated interest and experience in leveraging AI‑driven solutions, analytics, and automation to improve security effectiveness and decision‑making.
  • Has experience managing the work of 3rd parties that have been contracted to deliver information security capabilities.
  • Desire to constantly learn, improve, and drive results.
  • Fluency in English (min C1 level).
  • Travel to BUs will be required.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.​ Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.​
