Coordinator - Curriculum (Math)Leads district’s work in curriculum, instruction and assessment as it relates to meeting the requirements of End Statement 1.0 – Douglas County School District Students acquire the knowledge and abilities to be responsible citizens who contribute to our society.
--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
--- Measure and monitor academic performance assessment data, including achievement gap analysis and demographic trends analysis.
--- Lead and develop the training materials for curriculum, instruction and assessment initiatives to include: the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Guide, quality assessments, instructional framework, and use of data.
--- Collaborate with Director of Schools, Principals, Douglas County Federation, Teachers and other members of Learning Services, in the development of K-12 curriculum, evaluation of academic programs, and assessment of student achievement.
--- Communicate to a variety of audiences through Board of Education reports, district newsletters, and other forums as necessary.
--- Monitor and make recommendations in the design and implementation of an effective data gathering system for continued curriculum and instructional improvements.
--- Lead and facilitate study teams and focus groups in curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
--- Develop and lead implementation of a comprehensive K-12 curriculum assessment plan.
--- Help ensure compliance with State and Federal curricular and assessment mandates such as those required for accreditation.
--- Supervise the Departments of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment ensuring alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the District’s standard-based system.
--- Supervise and evaluate coordinators, TOSAs, or professional-technical employees as determined by the Assistant Superintendent of Learning Services.
