Reporting directly to the Manager, Facilities, this role is responsible for overseeing the Town’s physical security infrastructure and operational readiness across Town-owned and operated facilities. You will monitor and maintain security systems, coordinate incident response activities, and support the ongoing safety and resilience of municipal facilities through proactive security operations and technical system oversight. You will be responsible for administering CCTV and access control systems, supporting emergency response activities, and ensuring compliance with corporate security and privacy protocols. The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a post-secondary diploma in Law Enforcement, Security Management, Police Foundations, Criminology or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate possesses and is able to maintain a valid Security Guard Licence in accordance with the Ontario Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005, S.O. 2005, c. 34, along with active CPR & First Aid Certification. Certification in Use of Force, Advanced De-Escalation and/or Mental Health First Aid is considered an asset.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years related experience in security system installation and maintenance, along with a minimum of 2 years related experience in enforcement, preferably within a municipal environment. Candidates must also possess a minimum of 2 years experience in central alarm monitoring, dispatch, control room operations, or mobile and foot patrol security positions.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience operating and monitoring CCTV systems, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and other computerized security technologies, along with experience responding to emergencies and preparing detailed incident reports. We are seeking an individual with superior communication and customer service skills, a demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate for Coordinator, Corporate Security Operations will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required).
This position offers a salary range of $89,929.32 - $112,411.65 plus a competitive benefit package.
