JOB DESCRIPTION

GENERAL FUNCTION

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator supports the implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the facility. This role partners with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, facilitate problem-solving activities, and support the development of standardized work and visual management systems. The Continuous Improvement Coordinator helps drive operational excellence, promotes employee engagement in continuous improvement efforts, and shares best practices

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the planning, execution, and sustainment of Continuous Improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity improvements.
  • Help facilitate and coordinate the High Performance Team (HPT) program, including project tracking, team engagement activities, and recognition initiatives.
  • Plan, perform, monitor, and follow up on Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to ensure compliance with established standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the implementation and sustainment of Shop Floor Management (SFM) processes, including visual management systems, KPI boards, action tracking, and daily accountability routines.
  • Conduct routine audits and assessments to verify adherence to standardized work, 5S practices, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure the facility remains tour-ready, including monitoring workplace organization, visual controls, housekeeping standards, and corrective actions.
  • Assist cross-functional departments with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, problem-solving, waste reduction, and process improvement activities.
  • Other duties, as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and other business systems.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independent and collaborate in a team environment
  • Great flexibility, organizational, detail oriented and time management skills.
  • Capable of coaching and influencing others.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Knowledge, Training and/or Certifications

Pay Range: 23.74 - 33.61
