What you will do:
Weare looking for a collaborative and curious Communications Coordinator to join our team. In this role, youwill help bring our stories to lifesupporting both internal and external communications that connect employees, audiences, and media to the Cineplex experience.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications& Content, youwill contribute to content creation, media engagement, and communications strategy while working closely with teams across the business. This isa great opportunityfor someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and is eager to grow their communications career.
This is a hybrid position (3 days in the office per week). Office location is 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto. #LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities:
Media & industry engagement: Monitor media coverage, support inquiries, and help build relationships with journalists and partners while staying on top of trends and stories relevant to our industry
Content & storytelling: Create and support a variety of communications such as press releases, media pitches, employee communications, and social content—tailoring your approach for different audiences
Campaign & strategy support: Contribute to communications campaigns across corporate and consumer initiatives, including tracking performance, analyzing results, andidentifyingopportunities to enhance impact
Internal communications & culture: Help bring initiatives to life that engage employees and strengthen connection to our brands and purpose
Innovation & collaboration: Explore new ways to connect with audiences, including emerging channels, tools, and storytelling formats, while working closely with colleagues across the organization
Team support:Pitch in where needed to help the broader Communications team delivergreat work
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, journalism, or similar
2–3 years of experience in communications, PR, or a related field (agency experience is an asset)
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
A solid understanding of media, digital, and influencer landscapes
Experience using data and insights to evaluate communications effectiveness
A detail-oriented mindset with strong editing and organizational skills
Comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
Interest inleveragingAI tools and staying current with evolving digital trends
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office; experience with tools like Meltwater is an asset
Fluency in English isrequired; French is an asset
