Description

From the exceptional service at the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes making sure your checked bags arrive with you, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

Assists managers and supervisors by performing administrative activities and functions associated with scheduling, payroll, accounts payable, report preparation and wellness administration associated with office and personnel function in a Station Operations office.

  • Review, audit, and process accounts payable and sales accounting transactions, including invoices, PCard payments, refund drafts, reconciliations, and inventory reviews.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, research and resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close, account analysis, and annual budget preparation.
  • Support contract administration by maintaining contract files, reviewing payment terms and conditions, and assisting with contract-related inquiries and financial requirements.
  • Coordinate employee parking and uniform administration, including maintaining accurate records, processing requests and orders, and resolving employee or vendor issues.
  • Support special projects and process improvements while partnering with management, HR, vendors, and other departments to ensure accurate and efficient operations.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk long distances between terminals
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including, but not limited to: data entry, sorting, filtering, copy/paste, V-lookup, create formula calculations, conditional formatting
  • United will consider applicants with criminal histories consistent with the Fair Chance Ordinance
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software
  • Must be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts in a 24 hour/7 day a week operation including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Associate degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Related airline experience
  • Experience in a clerical/administrative, airport operations role
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to maintain composure in high volume/high pressure situations
  • Ability to learn various airline-specific computer programs
  • Ability to communicate interpersonally to achieve problem solving, knowledge-sharing and teamwork

The base pay range for this role is $37,810.00 to $49,314.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
