Job Profile Summary:
Provides routine administrative support to a department or group of professionals in support of department goals.
The School of Social Transformation seeks a highly organized, detail oriented and flexible professional to perform advanced administrative, skilled, and technical work to support the administrative functions of the school. With minimal supervision, this position performs a variety of complex duties related to the Schools front office operations, events, business operations, and customer service. This position serves as a key contact for administrative functions and customer service, providing support to the mission of the school and the school’s faculty, staff, and students.
Position Salary Range:
$48,600 - $54,000 per year; DOE
Essential Duties:

Manage Grad student travel which includes serving as a Cost Center Manager and delegate, processing professional development, tracking and reconciling the Grad Travel account shadow system.
Serve as backup on Faculty and Staff travel
Monitoring and managing the SSTRequest, SSTTravel and SSTEvents folder/email inbox
Serve as IT contact
Manages room reservations for SST control spaces, including 2nd floor patio and Canyon breeze way
Create, track, and manage facility maintenance requests across the department and building
Serve as department safety compliance officer
Prepare and process administrative and financial paperwork/reports related to events.
Enter Event related transactions into Workday
Tracks event specific budgets, reconciling post event expenses in conjunction with other dept fiscal staff
Submit non-sponsored Workday entries and transactions
Maintain up-to-date mailing lists of college and community organizations.
Coordinate all aspects of events (obtaining equipment, room reservation, catering order, décor, etc.)
Perform a variety of front desk/office support duties
Flexibility with schedule; may require evening and weekend events.
Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with tracking and maintaining budgets with accuracy
Experience with ASU administrative systems (i.e. Workday, Concur)
Experience with event planning and event promotion
Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in higher education
Experience in work that requires organization and detail oriented
Ability to think critically and be flexible with changes that occur during the planning process
Experience in interpersonal skills
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Requires some attendance at evening and weekend events.
