The Manager of Test Production leads a team responsible for publishing high-quality instructional assessments that support effective teaching and student achievement, specifically daily Demonstration of Learning (DOLs), Curriculum Aligned District Formative Assessment (CADFAs), and District Summative Assessments (DSAs). This leader oversees strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and execution of production workflows across all content areas and grade levels. In addition to ensuring timely delivery and access to materials, the manager drives innovation by guiding the integration of multimedia content for teacher development and the use of AI tools to enhance student learning. The role focuses on continuous improvement of systems, people, and processes that bring curriculum to classrooms with clarity, consistency, and impact.
1. Project Management: Manage production timelines for curriculum assessment materials, ensuring alignment with department goals and delivery milestones across content areas and grade levels.
2. Strategic Production Oversight: Manage districtwide assessment publishing timelines, establish production protocols, and lead coordination with curriculum, design, editorial, and IT teams.
3. Access & Equity: Oversee systems that ensure timely and equitable access to all published assessments in digital and print formats (if needed) for teachers and students.
4. Technology & AI Integration: Partner with technology and instructional leadership to identify, pilot, and scale tools—including artificial intelligence—that enhance curriculum usability and student learning experiences.
5. Other duties as assigned.
Associate Degree or 60 hours
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably within a similar industry or organization

Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day direction to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.
Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the department. Supervision received typically consists of providing direction on the more complex projects and new job duties and priorities.
No budget development activity is required.
Decisions are made on both routine and non-routine matters with some latitude but are still subject to approval. Job is occasionally expected to recommend new solutions to problems and improve existing methods or generate new ideas.
