This position supports Houston ISD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) infrastructure initiatives by planning, coordinating and monitoring facility projects that enhance career-focused learning environments across the district. The role manages the implementation of CTE-related capital improvements. lab renovations. equipment installations. and facility enhancements to ensure students and staff have access to safe, modem, and industry-aligned instructional spaces. Responsibilities include project management. Procurement coordination, stakeholder engagement. contractor oversight. and collaboration with district departments to support the successful execution of CTE infrastructure priorities.
1. Pian, coordinate, and monitor CTE infrastructure projects, including career center Improvements, lab renovations, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and specialized instructional spaces across district campuses.
2. Develop and maintain project scopes, schedules, timelines, budgets, and implementation plans while tracking milestones, identifying risks, and ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned to district priorities.
3. Collaborate with campus leaders, CTE staff, Facilities, Maintenance, Construction, Operations, and other district departments to assess infrastructure needs and ensure projects support industry-aligned CTE programs and workforce readiness initiatives.
4. Manage project procurement and contract-related activities, including vendor coordination, scope development, purchasing compliance, equipment acquisition, and contractor engagement.
5. Conduct project monitoring through site visits, stakeholder meetings, status reporting, and documentation management to ensure quality execution, timely completion, and effective communication among all parties.
6. Support the ongoing maintenance, modernization, and strategic expansion of СТЕ learming environments by coordinating facility improvements, specialized equipment needs, and long-term infrastructure planning in compliance with district policies and safety standards.
