GET TO KNOW OUR AREA:

The Bayer Digital Farming Service group is modernizing the agriculture industry with digital tools that help the world’s farmers sustainably increase their crop yields. We are looking for a passionate Security Engineer to join our product security engineering team to continually enhance our security solutions. You will use your background and skills in security, software architecture, design, development, testing, and communication to help us deliver our groundbreaking Digital Agriculture platform.

In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing, recommending, enhancing, and developing security solutions across engineering disciplines. You will help drive the integration of security controls into Climate’s applications and cloud services platform by applying your security and software engineering expertise while using a variety of software and product security assessment and automation techniques.

Contribute and collaborate with other Product Security Engineering team members across the broader spectrum of Bayer information security programs, such as Threat & Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response, Governance, and Compliance.

YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

• Impact the direction of the program and help prioritize work activities of specific areas of the Security team;
• Automate security controls to reduce our attack surface, proactively seek out vulnerabilities, and decrease response and recovery times;
• Help optimize security tool deployments and introduce scalable processes across Product Security and other Engineering capabilities;
• Collaborate with product, design, data analytics, and engineering to define needs that leverage the next generation of security controls;
• Drive an efficient and effective Agile process to manage a deep backlog and iteratively enhance security services;
• Assist with and provide necessary tools for engineers to work with confidence to create simple and secure solutions to complex problems;
• Discuss and present technical matters with businesspeople and business matters with technical people;
• Lead the team of Product Security Engineering through complicated technology issues;
• Lead the Product Security Engineering team with high impact investigations;
• Take on the most challenging security issues throughout the organization and collaborate with the Engineering teams through resolution;
• Guide and mentor more junior Security Engineers.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?

Must have:

• Extensive experience in security engineering, technical security program or project management;
• Proven experience with software development process;
• Proven experience with application security;
• Proven ability to program in Python or other languages;
• Security domain expertise;
• Strong expertise of industry experience in development processes, Software as a Service, or Platform as a Service;
• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent work experience);
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, and securing a cloud-based environment;
• Multiple security domain expertise;
• Experience with controls for information security compliance programs including PCI, ISO 27001 and SOC;
• Insight into current industry-standard security regulations, policies, and procedures for information systems;
• Software and network security and/or vulnerability management experience;
• Ability to evangelize and represent a technical community;
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban or similar software development practices;
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is required for working in a global team;
• Willingness to be based in São Paulo, with some weekly office days expected;
