
Responsible to the OR Manager for the operation and administration of the Service Specialty, including effective management of clinical systems, human resources, finances and the work environment. Promotes multi-disciplinary collaborative practice with physicians and other departments, performs in-depth patient needs, develops and monitors patient care standards, and promotes the overall goals and objectives of the department’s mission.
Education Required
· Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required.
Education Preferred
· BSN preferred
License, Certification and/or Registration
· Current Alabama or multi-state Nursing Licensure required.
· BCLS certification required (must be completed within the Provisionary Period).
· ACLS Certification required (must be completed within the provisional period, this requirement is based upon the hospitals availability of ACLS classes and should be done as soon as possible if not done within Provisionary Period.)
· PALS Certification preferred.
Experience
· Previous nursing experience in a critical care setting with successful demonstration of supervisory and/or management ability required
· Recent hospital RN experience in which leadership, interpersonal, and problem solving have been demonstrated.
· Knowledgeable of clinical practice of the specialty.
