Program

  • Bay Ridge IRA 2 and Bay Ridge IRA 3

Location

  • Brooklyn - 361 83rd Street

Schedule (Full time; Split between two floors)

  • Monday through Friday; 11am - 7pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Professionalism and Punctuality

  • Taking Ownership/ Accountability

  • Being Flexible: Job responsibilities may change based on needs

  • Adhering to policies, procedures and regulations

  • Using effective communication skills & time management skills

  • Being a member of a highly effective team

  • Ensuring maintenance upkeep and safety based on facility/ program structure

  • Completing mandatory trainings based on the program and position as well as applying skills

  • Ensuring health, wellness and safety

  • Understanding when to contact an administrator for support

  • Building Positive relationships

  • Cooking and preparing meals according to dietary needs

  • Sweeping and mopping floors

  • Dusting furniture and other fixtures

  • Vacuuming carpets and area rugs

  • Cleaning kitchen appliances/refrigerator

  • Cleaning and organizing kitchen cabinets

  • Discarding expired foods

  • Emptying trash receptacle/bags

  • Other cleaning responsibilities if the need arises

Education and Experience

  • Work or life experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus

  • Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions

  • Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills

  • Willing to take initiative

  • Highly flexible personality type

Compensation

  • $17.50/hour to $17.50/hour
