With properties in some of Australia’s most iconic locations, NRMA Parks & Resorts provide accommodation that suits every budget, style, and occasion – from campsites to luxury resorts. We connect holidaymakers with over 50 incredible destinations to create unforgettable holiday experiences. Part of the trusted NRMA Group, a member-owned brand, our passionate team works together to make holiday magic happen—it's not just our job, it's in our nature.

NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort is your perfect home-away-from-home, set against the stunning backdrop of Murramarang National Park and offering absolute beachfront access just north of Batemans Bay on the South Coast of NSW. The resort features a wide range of accommodation options, from beachfront villas to glamping tents, as well as spacious camping and caravan sites. Guests of all ages can enjoy a variety of facilities including resort-style pools, the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, licensed on-site dining, and dedicated spaces for conferences, events, and weddings.

  • Join our team at Murramarang Resort’s Beach Bistro as a Casual Cook or Chef with potential for an ongoing, long-term opportunity.
  • This is an exciting and versatile role offering shifts across breakfast, lunch, dinner and events!

What you will do:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Casual Cook or Chef to join our kitchen team. In this hands-on role, you’ll assist with basic food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hand duties (depending on skill level), supporting our Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver quality meals to guests in our resort dining venue.

We’re looking for a versatile, all‑round Cook or Chef to join our team. Some days you’ll be preparing breakfast and lunch, while other days you’ll work lunch and dinner. From time to time, you’ll also support the team during special events such as weddings and conferences. Shifts are spread across five days per week and may include weekends, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You will:

  • Support the Head Chef and kitchen team during busy service periods
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to company standards and guest preferences, ensuring a high-quality dining experience.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, food service, bar staff, and management to ensure smooth service and effective communication regarding orders and kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment, including correct storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements.
  • Complete daily temperature checks for fridges, freezers, storage areas, and deliveries, recording assessments as required.
  • Take responsibility for cleaning, sanitising, and disinfecting all kitchen areas in line with daily cleaning schedules.

What you will bring

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, club kitchen, or catering for events and functions.
  • Sound understanding of Food Safety principles and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Effective verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-based approach.
  • Willingness to pitch in and help your teammates to ensure the job is done right, every time.
  • DoFoodSafely certificate of completion

About The NRMA

For over 100 years, the NRMA has existed to make the journey better for everyone in the community. In everything we do, we aim to give back, always adding more value to Membership while working towards a better, shared future.

Having over 3.2 million Members, we’re Australia's largest member-owned organisation, and have grown into one of the country's largest tourism, leisure, and travel businesses, with investments in accommodation, car hire, ferries, experiences and more. We’ve done this by putting our people, Members and customers at the centre of everything we do to deliver great experiences – something that has always set us apart.

From our earliest Patrols, we’ve been passionate about helping people on the road, but we now also help millions on our waterways, on their holidays, and on all of their journeys. Tales of our legendary service embody the sense of mateship and levels of care that the people of our nations have become known for the world over.

As a workplace, we foster a culture of innovation, growth and wellbeing – one that respects and celebrates diversity in all its forms, creating an environment where all people can feel they truly belong and thrive. We do this because we know that, when put together, our individual talent and uniqueness is what makes us great at what we do. We do this because it makes our place a great place to be.
