Job Description

This job contributes to Smashburger and Harrah’s Southern California Resort success by providing fast, friendly and Exceptional Family-Style Service to all guests with quality food, products and maintaining a clean and comfortable and safe store environment. Our team members are required to have basic knowledge about health and learn about all fresh products to effectively educate our guest. The team member is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Smashburger Guiding Principles and with Harrah’s Southern California Resort’s Mission Values and Vision.

  • Delivers exceptional and prompt service to all guests. Executing Everyone Greets Everyone standard to create a welcoming environment.
  • Create a fun experience for the guests in a high, quick, fast-paced environment.
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items – make suggestions answer questions.
  • Team member will provide quick and friendly service to all customers.
  • Processes cash transactions by accepting money and making necessary change, while presenting a receipt to the customer.
  • Cleans register and restaurant areas including dining room tables, counter tops, sinks, display shelves, tables, storage areas and lounge areas at assigned station.
  • Handles and solves any concerns and questions customers may have.
  • Performs all side work and stocking of supplies at assigned station.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Foster safe work environment by following safety guidelines.
  • Follows Smashburger and Harrah’s Operational Policies and Procedures, including those for cash handling, safety, and security, during each shift.
  • Complete any other task assigned by management.
  • Engage in Funner activities with guests and team members.
  • Assemble orders for the guests.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.

  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.

  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Previous money handling and cash register experience is preferred.

  • Must be willing to help on the line cook, if needed.

  • Must be willing to work in other food service outlets.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work inside and maneuver throughout assigned station during entire shift.
  • Must be able to work in a high-temperature environment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds and bend, pull and carry stock to refrigerator and cabinets.
  • Must be able to use hand motion when cleaning and wiping counters.
  • Must possess the manual dexterity to complete required “side work”.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
  • Must be able to work variable hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $20.50 per hour plus tips

Preference is given to qualified Rincon tribal members and members of other federally recognized tribes.
