The Canteen Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operation of the canteen, ensuring that a high-quality, safe, hygienic and efficient catering service is provided to employees, visitors and other site users. The role involves leading the canteen team, preparing and serving food, maintaining food safety standards, managing stock and ensuring the canteen area is clean, organised and compliant with company procedures and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

Role:

  • Supervise the day-to-day running of the canteen, ensuring the service operates efficiently and professionally.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across the canteen, kitchen, dining area, counters, equipment and vending facilities.
  • Monitor food temperatures, code dates, stock rotation and storage standards to ensure due diligence and compliance.
  • Order food, drinks, consumables and vending stock as required, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed, recorded and followed by all team members.
  • Promote good customer service and maintain a friendly, professional and approachable canteen environment.
