Position: Cook Manager (Position Number: 2627-3929)

Location: Schroeder High School

Start Date: October 2, 2026

We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

• Candidates must meet minimum qualifications for Civil Service appointment
• The ideal candidate must have substantial food service and supervision experience
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and frequently live 40 pounds
• Some night and weekend work required
• Familiarity with most commonly used computer software and the ability and willingness to learn new software

Responsibilities:

• Requisition food and supplies
• Maintain records on inventory, production, and sales
• Maintain time and payroll records
• Plan work schedules
• Oversee Free and Reduced Lunch Program
• Supervises and participates in the cleaning and care of kitchen equipment
• Supervises the training of kitchen staff involved in food preparation, cooking and serving
• Supervises and participates in the preparation and cooking of meals

Salary: Hourly wage will be determined at the time of employment and based on education and experience.
