THE JOB:

Step into the heart of the kitchen as a Cook, where passion, precision, and exceptional execution come together to create unforgettable dining experiences.

In this fast-paced culinary role, you will bring dishes to life through expert technique, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality that reflects the MGM Resorts standard. By working collaboratively with your team and delivering excellence with every plate, you will help create WOW moments that guests will remember long after their visit.

THE STARTING RATE: $26.6831/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques

• Identify and safely use kitchen equipment

• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service

• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation

• Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation

• Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service

• Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups

• Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 1+ years of cook experience preferred, with strong foundational culinary skills and confidence working in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• 2+ years experience in a similar resort, hotel, or high-volume hospitality setting preferred

• Strong understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, plating standards, and kitchen safety practices

• Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working an on-call schedule with varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and fluctuating business demands
