Job Description

Prepare all hot and cold foods for Jack Binion's Steakhouse.

• Prepare meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other food items.
• Prepare food items per standardized recipes or supervisor’s guidelines
• Set-up and maintain work station.
• Maintain walk-in coolers in a good sanitary condition.
• Assist in other areas of kitchen as directed by Sous Chef.
• Maintain a high degree of sanitation in work station.
• Direct and train all Cooks II.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Restaurant experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in a restaurant, either front of house or back of house
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Employee Dining Room.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
• Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift.
• Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
