Position Cook III Department Ladore - Food Service Availability Immediately Schedule Varies; FT; Nights and Weekends a must Reporting Relationship Ladore Catering Manager Salary $17.00 per hour

With minimal guidance and assistance, the function of the Cook III is to prepare food efficiently for small and large groups, including groups as small as 20 to over 200

Responsibilities

of Position:

  • Perform food service responsibilities as directed by the Ladore Catering Manager
  • Maintain food safety standards as prescribe by ServSafe
  • Operate equipment safely and properly
  • Maintain neat and uniform appearance at all times
  • Prepare and cook meals for groups in house
  • Keep food prep and cooking areas neat and clean
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Ladore Catering Manager

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid PA driver’s license
  • Be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
  • Must pass a ServSafe class which will be offered by the Salvation Army
  • Ability to handle a high paced and often intense work environment
  • Must be good with people
  • 3 to 5 years food service experience with large groups
  • Ability to be on one’s feet for hours at a time
  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
  • Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
