Description
The Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking a motivated culinary professional with a passion for preparing quality food and delivering exceptional guest service as our new Cook II for the Rowena Landing Restaurant at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. Located on beautiful Lake Cumberland, this resort park is one of the premier lodging and dining facilities in the area. For decades, we have served guests in our 200-seat restaurant featuring panoramic views of Lake Cumberland.
In this position, you will prepare a variety of menu items, assist with kitchen operations, and help maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service. You will work closely with chefs, food-service management, front-of-house employees, group sales, and other departments to provide exceptional dining experiences throughout the year.

EDUCATION: NONE
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food services will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
