Location: Daily Sprouts Café – 163 E 92nd St, New York, NY 10128

Compensation: $17.50-$18.50 / hour

Reports To: Café Manager / Ownerr

Approximate shift times: 1st Shift: 7am-1pm. 2nd Shift: 12:30pm-7pm.

About the Role

We’re seeking a dependable, motivated Cook/Kitchen Assistant to join our pre-opening team. You’ll play a vital role in creating fresh, health-conscious dishes that align with our sprouted-grain and wellness-driven philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure food is presented attractively and consistently
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times
• Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing deliveries
• Support the front-of-house team when needed
• Participate in opening and closing duties

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Prior kitchen or prep experience helpful but not required
• Ability to follow recipes and directions precisely
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods
• Passion for healthy, sustainable food preparation
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
