Since opening to the public in 1982, Elvis Presley's Graceland has hosted over 20 million visitors from every state in the union and nearly every country of the world. Graceland welcomes over 500,000 visitors each year, is one of the five most visited home tours in the United States, and is the most famous home in America after The White House.

In 1991, Graceland was placed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2006, it was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Graceland visitors come from all walks of life, all ages, all musical tastes, all income levels, all educational backgrounds, and all parts of the world.

Our employees are ambassadors to Memphis and work hard to ensure all of our guests are treated with the same southern hospitality that Elvis Presley was known for.

This is a full-time position located in the Food and Beverage Department at Graceland having variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, holidays, evenings, and overtime as required. This is a promotional opportunity. Benefits may be offered after successful completion of a sixty (60) day introductory period. This is an internal/external recruitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for cooking and preparing meals and as needed to include special events and other meetings/events as required; stock products using proper procedures; clean and sanitize work are; weigh, measure, and portion food according to department procedure; assist with evaluating leftovers; label, date and store food properly; prepare food according to standardized recipes in correct amount; create new ways to present food attractively and nutritiously; set up cafeteria food line; carry out the master menu plan and adjust when required or directed; schedule food preparation on time for serving, but not too far in advance; serve hot food attractively and efficiently; take and process orders; complete cash transactions; assist guests with questions and needs; abide by Memphis and Shelby County health codes as well as Graceland’s policies and procedures; bus, cashier, work food line, and other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Memphis and Shelby County health codes; ability to bake and cook a variety of food; demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of proper techniques for food preparation; ability to accurately handle money and cash transactions; skill to operate and clean various restaurant equipment; ability to work quietly and accurately under constant pressure of often conflicting deadlines and numerous interruptions; ability to maintain confidentiality and objectivity; organizational skills to determine workload in a timely manner; must be able to exercise tact and diplomacy during discussions with individuals; some knowledge of catering helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stoop, reach, walk and stand for long periods of time; ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50lbs; speak clearly and distinctly.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: Uniform is required; hair net must be worn; must follow and have knowledge of health codes and requirements.

Joel Weinshanker owns the rights to Graceland's operations, with Authentic Brand Group, LLC and the Presley family as partners. Lisa Marie Presley retains a 15% ownership in the company and continues to be involved in major business decisions, as does her mother Priscilla.

Lisa Marie Presley retains 100% sole personal ownership of Graceland Mansion itself and its over 13-acre original grounds and her father's personal effects - meaning costumes, wardrobe, awards, furniture, cars, etc.. She has made the mansion property and her father's personal effects permanently available for tours of Graceland and for use in all of EPE's operations.

Jack Soden is the President and CEO of EPE and is based in the Memphis office. This top management team is supported by the vice-presidents, directors, managers and staff of the various departments of EPE, including marketing & media, sales, accounting, operations, human resources and the various sub-departments within these.
