Job Title: Cook (Full-Time)

JOB SUMMARY

Pyramid Healthcare Ridgeview in Gibsonia is seeking a dependable Full-Time Cook to support our kitchen team. Our 42-bed residential treatment center for adults provides three meals daily to clients in a safe, supportive environment.

The Cook will assist with meal preparation, food service, kitchen sanitation, inventory, and cleaning duties while following established menus and food-safety guidelines. This position is ideal for individuals with prior dietary or food-service experience who are seeking meaningful work in a rewarding behavioral healthcare environment.

Shift: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM Pay: $15.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Slice and chop food according to the daily meal plan.
• Prepare salads and portion desserts.
• Stock juices, milk, cups, napkins, forks, and spoons.
• Assist the Lead Cook as directed.
• Serve meals to clients.
• Place food on the serving line according to schedule.
• Follow assigned menus and sanitary food-preparation guidelines.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Clean tabletops and dining areas after each meal.
• Record refrigeration and food temperatures daily.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and cafeteria areas.
• Complete cleaning duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Accept food deliveries and properly verify incoming food orders.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary work areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene and comply with food-safety requirements.
• Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and follow portion-control procedures.
• Ability to safely operate standard kitchen equipment.
• Willingness to learn and attend required training.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Prior dietary, kitchen, or food-service experience preferred.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• ServSafe certification preferred or required within the applicable time frame.
• Previous food-service, dietary, or commercial kitchen experience preferred.
• Equivalent training or experience may be considered.
