P. TERRY’S BURGER STAND GREATER HOUSTON AREA - RICHMOND TX
PART-TIME AND FULL-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE 


***We pay Full-Time Crew Members $11.00+ based on experience***  
Full time employment is an average of 30 hours a week.We are hiring for all positions for a new restaurant opening. We are looking for people with positive attitude, work well as part of a team, are accountable, believe in providing great guest service, and quality product.  

Cashier/Order Taker Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Guest Service Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude, answer questions about the menu, and provide assistance with orders. Ability to serve our guests needs with a high sense of urgency. Address guest complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Cash Handling Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately, ensuring all transactions are balanced at the end of each shift.
  • Order Management Take dine-in and takeout orders via point-of-sale (POS) systems and confirm order accuracy before submitting to the kitchen.
  • Product Knowledge Stay informed about menu items, and promotions to answer guest inquiries and make suggestions.

Cook Responsibilities / But not limited to
  • Order Management: Prepare quality food based on the guest's exact order while following all food safety standards.
  • Guest Service Ability to serve our guests needs with a high sense of urgency and accuracy while following our Speed with Service standards.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a well-stocked clean, hazard free kitchen at all times
  • Product Knowledge Stay informed about menu items, and promotions to answer guest inquiries and make suggestions.
Qualifications:
  • A friendly smile
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours depending on restaurant’s needs
  • Ability to give and receive detailed information through oral communication (frequently required to talk and hear).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station, dining area, and kitchen adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Must have a food handler’s permit
  • Must be able to stand for several hours and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various height 
  • Able to work in a confined restaurant kitchen around fryers, grills, drink stations, shake machines, dish washers
  • Must be able to work in a high pressure, busy restaurant
  • Must be able to read (orders on tickets, menu board, receipts, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 50 pound

Kathy and Patrick Terry opened the first P. Terry's on July 5th, 2005 at the corner of South Lamar and Barton Springs. Patrick was following his childhood dream to open a classic burger stand, like the legendary Mack Eplin's he grew up with in Abiliene, Texas. But when Kathy read the book "Fast Food Nation"​, their plan to provide quality food and service went to a higher level.

P. Terry's offers the freshest quality ingredients you can find served out of a drive-thru window. We're where fresh, all-natural, "never-ever"​ frozen​ beef and chicken became staple items. We serve fresh-cut fries made from all-natural potatoes, free of trans fats and hydrogenated oils. Add to that our fresh-baked cookies, banana bread, and house veggie burger; our fresh-squeezed orange juice and lemonade; and our authentic milkshakes - we care about what's out there to eat, and we make our food with that in mind.

But, we didn't forget Patrick's original image - the classic burger joint of the '50s and '60s, when small-town hospitality was the standard. That's why we offer a simple menu with an open kitchen, with premium quality ingredients served at affordable prices.
