The Cook is responsible for preparing and executing food orders according to established recipes and quality standards. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Prepare food orders accurately and efficiently according to standardized recipes and plating specifications
  • Monitor food production throughout service to ensure consistent quality and adherence to established standards
  • Coordinate order timing and execution to facilitate timely pick-up and service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station and storage areas at all times
  • Manage station inventory and stock levels to maintain established pars and minimize waste
  • Implement proper food rotation, storage, and portion control procedures to optimize inventory management
  • Consistently apply and adhere to all established safety and sanitation protocols

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of professional cooking experience in a food service environment
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout assigned shifts
  • Capacity to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Physical capability to perform essential functions including reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, and twisting at the waist
  • Commitment to obtaining and maintaining all necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by position and regulatory standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Food Handler Certification or ServSafe certification
  • Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices
