As a Part-Time Cook, you will deliver high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to the unique dietary needs of our aged care residents. This role is ideal for someone empathetic, adaptable, and committed to excellence in food service.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Prepare and cook daily meals that meet individual dietary requirements, including texture-modified options.
• Plan and rotate menus in consultation with the Service Manager and residents.
• Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene, safety and HACCP standards
• Manage food purchasing, storage, and usage within budget guidelines.
• Foster a safe and respectful kitchen environment, adhering to Safe Work Practices.
About You
• Experience in aged care (preferred), including cook fresh/cook chill methodology
• Certificate III in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, or similar
• Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and NSW Food Regulation requirements
• Experience managing food purchasing within budget
• Understanding of texture-modified foods and allergen management
• A caring, resident-focused approach
